Last week, Sober Sisters Recovery received a $1000 donation from Unlimited Possibilities (UP). It was the fifth annual donation in a 5-year commitment that UP made to Sober Sisters Recovery, and we cannot thank them enough for their ongoing support.
Our director met UP cofounder, Tim Churchard, at the Black Bean Cafe in Rollinsford in 2015. At that time, Sober Sisters Recovery was still just an idea, yet Tim and his organization believed in our mission and they jumped on board before we even had nonprofit status!
THANK YOU Tim Churchard and UP. Your belief in our mission has meant the world to us!
Unlimited Possibilities is a nonprofit education and service foundation based in Milton, New Hampshire. They are dedicated to helping eliminate social injustice by providing financial support, education, and services to communities and organizations across the United States and around the world.
Building a base of support…
At Sober Sisters Recovery, our community support network includes people, organizations, and businesses that provide services, support, and assistance to our residents, their families, SSR staff, and even the house itself.
Pictured here is our Executive Director, Moné Cassier, with Jake Collins, the Assistant Superintendent of the Strafford County House of Corrections. Moné facilitates a women’s recovery group in the Therapeutic Community at the Strafford County House of Corrections, and it was Jake Collins who introduced Sober Sisters Recovery to Unlimited Possibilities!
It’s connections like these that allow us to create a healthy, broad base of support for our residents. We are so grateful to be a part of the Seacoast recovery community!
